Four high-volume axial units for open floors, sheds, godowns and halls — the most straightforward way to cool a large space in India. Mount them in a wall or roof opening, connect water and power, and the air changes begin. No ducting, no refrigerant, no sealed room required.
Why this series
Maximum airflow, minimum installation
An axial fan is a propeller. It is very good at one thing — moving an enormous volume of air when there is almost nothing in the way — and poor at another: pushing that air against resistance. Understand that and the whole series makes sense.
Where the cooler can sit in a wall opening, a window or a roof cut-out and discharge straight into the space, an axial unit is the right machine and usually the cheapest complete answer, because there is no ductwork to design, fabricate, insulate or pay for. The installation is a bracket, a water line and a power point.
It also gives you the biggest single machine in the range. The AirX 50K moves 50,000 CMH on its own, which matters more than it sounds: covering a 12,000 sq.ft shed with three big units instead of seven small ones means three power points instead of seven, three water connections, three sets of pads to change and three things to service.
- Four sizes, 18,000 to 50,000 CMH. Enough granularity to match the air a building needs without paying for air it does not.
- 100 mm honeycomb pads on every model. Full pad depth, so you get the temperature drop the physics allows rather than a fraction of it.
- Three-way discharge on the 18K and the 30K. Top, bottom or side, decided at order stage to suit how the unit will be mounted.
- Auto-fill tanks, 30 to 60 litres. Connected to your water line once, then left alone — there is nothing to fill by hand.
- No ducting cost. On an open floor this is often a third of what a ducted system would come to.

All models use 100 mm honeycomb cooling pads. Cooling areas are indicative for normal ceiling height and moderate heat load and are confirmed by a site survey. Weights are operating weight with the water tank full.

Order-stage decision
Which way should the air come out?
Two Air-X models — the 18K and the 30K — can be built with top, bottom or side discharge. It is not a cosmetic choice. Get it wrong and cool air collects where nobody is standing.
Top discharge
Air leaves upward and spreads across the ceiling before falling. Best for tall sheds and halls where you want wide, gentle coverage rather than a draught, and for units mounted low against a wall.

Bottom discharge
Air is pushed down into the occupied zone. The right answer for roof-mounted units, and for any space where the people are at floor level and the roof is high enough that ceiling-level air would never reach them.

Side discharge
Air is thrown horizontally across the floor. Used where the unit sits at working height and you want throw along the length of a bay — a production line, a long showroom, a covered shed with one open side.

How much air does your floor need?
Evaporative cooling is sized by air changes, not by tonnage. Find your floor area on the left, read across to the duty that matches your building, and you have both the airflow requirement and a sensible Air-X configuration.

Airflow requirement is floor area multiplied by the air changes the duty needs. Configurations shown are the fewest Air-X units that meet the requirement; a survey may split the same airflow across more, smaller units to get the coverage right in a long or awkwardly shaped building. Spaces with heavy process heat — a commercial kitchen, a foundry, a welding bay — are designed at around 30 CMH per sq.ft, so add roughly a third to the production-floor column. Where Air-X is the wrong choice
We will tell you when to buy something else
Three situations where an axial unit will disappoint you, and we would rather say so before the order than after it.
- The air has to travel through a duct. An axial fan cannot overcome duct resistance. Airflow at the diffuser collapses, the room stays hot, and the machine gets blamed. Use the Blow-X series.
- The building cannot exhaust the air. Evaporative cooling works by replacing air, not recycling it. A fully sealed room with no outlet will pressurise and stop cooling. There must be an opening — a louvre, a ridge vent, an open shutter.
- You need dehumidified air. A server room, a controlled-humidity process, a cold store. Evaporative cooling adds moisture by design. That is an air conditioning job and we will say so.
What honest sizing looks like
A 4,000 sq.ft production bay at 22 CMH per sq.ft needs about 88,000 CMH. That is two AirX 50K units, or three AirX 30K.
Two 50K units draw 9 kW between them. Three 30K units draw 9 kW as well — but give you 90,000 CMH, three-way discharge, and better spread down a long bay.

Questions about this series
What does CMH mean, and how does it relate to CFM?
CMH is cubic metres per hour — the volume of air the unit moves. CFM is cubic feet per minute, the same measurement in different units. To convert, divide CMH by 1.7: an AirX 30K at 30,000 CMH is about 17,650 CFM. Indian industrial cooling is normally specified in CMH, so that is what we publish. Be careful when comparing brands — a number that looks twice as large may just be the same airflow quoted in CFM.
Which Air-X model should I buy?
Work out the airflow first, then pick the model that meets it in the fewest units without leaving parts of the floor uncovered. The AirX 25K is usually the best value per square foot — it has the same cabinet footprint as the 18K but moves 39% more air. The AirX 50K is the right answer for large sheds, because halving the unit count halves the wiring, the water connections and the servicing. Use the calculator, then let us confirm it at the survey.
Can an Air-X unit be mounted on the roof?
Yes, and it often is — a roof position keeps the machine out of the working area and draws the cleanest air. Specify bottom discharge so the cool air is pushed down into the occupied zone, and allow for operating weight rather than net weight when the structural check is done: an AirX 50K weighs 125 kg empty and 190 kg with the tank full.
How much difference in temperature will I actually feel?
It depends entirely on how dry the incoming air is. On a Jodhpur afternoon in May — around 42°C at low humidity — a 100 mm pad system typically delivers air 10 to 14°C below the outside temperature. In humid weather that drop narrows considerably, but the high air-change rate still removes machine heat and roof heat, which on a factory floor is often the larger part of the problem. We will give you an honest expectation for your city at the survey rather than a brochure number.
Do the units come with a warranty?
Yes. Warranty terms are stated on the quotation for the model and configuration you order, along with what is covered and what counts as a consumable — pads, pumps and float valves wear out with use and are treated as spares rather than defects. We keep all three in stock.
Is it noisy?
An axial fan moving a very large volume of air is not silent, and any supplier who tells you otherwise is guessing. In an open shed or a workshop it disappears under the ambient noise. In a quiet showroom, an office or a classroom, the usual answer is to move the machine outside the space and duct the air in — which is a Blow-X job, not an Air-X one.
