Air cooling questions, answered straight
Straight answers to what buyers ask us most — how evaporative cooling works, how to size it, what it costs to run and how we install and support it. Still unsure? Talk to us or request a free quote.
How evaporative cooling works
What is the difference between an air cooler and an air conditioner?
An air conditioner recirculates the same sealed air and removes heat with a compressor and refrigerant gas, which is why it needs a closed room and draws a lot of power. An evaporative air cooler pulls in fresh outside air, passes it through wet honeycomb pads and delivers cool, filtered fresh air — no compressor, no gas, a fraction of the electricity. It is built for open and semi-open spaces where an AC would simply never cope: factory floors, warehouses, halls and kitchens.
Does evaporative cooling actually work in a hot, dry city like Jodhpur?
Dry heat is exactly where it works best. The drier and hotter the incoming air, the more the water evaporates and the bigger the temperature drop. Rajasthan’s summer is close to the ideal condition for evaporative cooling, which is why it is the standard choice for industry across the state. Our guide to humidity and evaporative cooling explains where it does and does not suit.
How much can it lower the temperature?
The drop depends on the day’s temperature and humidity, not on the machine alone — that is the physics of evaporative cooling. On a typical hot, dry Rajasthan afternoon a well-sized installation with proper fresh-air changes makes a very noticeable difference at floor level. We would rather set that expectation honestly than print a single fixed figure that only holds on one kind of day.
Will it make the space humid?
In dry conditions the added moisture is small and the constant supply of fresh air carries it away, so it does not build up the way it would in a sealed room. The key is air changes: a correctly sized system with a clear exhaust path keeps the air moving through rather than trapping moisture. This is covered in detail in the humidity guide.
Choosing and sizing a unit
How do I know which model and how many units I need?
Sizing comes from the floor area, the roof or shed height and how the space is used — the method is air changes per hour, not guesswork. Start with the savings calculator for an indicative configuration, or read the sizing guide. For anything beyond a single unit we confirm it with a free site survey before quoting.
What is the difference between the Air-X and Blow-X ranges?
Air-X units use an axial fan to move a very high volume of air across an open space — shop floors, showrooms and large halls. Blow-X units use a blower that builds the static pressure needed to push air through ducting into enclosed, partitioned or hard-to-reach spaces. If air has to travel through a duct, it is a Blow-X job. Compare them on the products page.
Do you help me choose, or do I have to decide myself?
Choosing is our job. Tell us the area, the height and what the space is used for and we recommend the configuration — we would much rather get the sizing right than have you pick from a list. The calculator and guides are there if you like to understand it yourself first.
Installation, ducting and service
Do you install, or only supply the machines?
Both. We are a manufacturer and a turnkey installer: survey, heat-load study, ducting design, mounting, water and power connection, commissioning and after-sales service. You can also buy equipment only if you have your own installation team. See turnkey solutions.
What is ducted air cooling and when do I need it?
Ducted cooling places the cooler outside the space and delivers cool air through insulated ducting and ceiling diffusers. You need it when the unit cannot sit in the room, when air must reach a specific area, or when the space is enclosed or partitioned. Full explanation on the ducted air cooling page.
What maintenance does an evaporative cooler need?
Far less than most people expect — periodic pad checks and replacement, keeping the water circuit and tank clean, and a pre-season service. There is no compressor or refrigerant gas to fail. We supply pads, pumps and float valves and can service what we install so it is ready each summer.
Do you supply spares and pads later?
Yes. We keep honeycomb pads, pumps and float valves in stock so you can service what you buy and keep the unit running season after season rather than hunting for parts.
Running cost, price and buying
How much cheaper is it to run than air conditioning?
Evaporative cooling has no compressor, so it draws a small fraction of the power of an equivalent AC — our catalogue puts the running-cost saving at up to 88%. The exact figure depends on your tariff and hours of use; the savings calculator lets you put in your own numbers, and the running-cost guide shows the working.
What is the payback period?
Our catalogue indicates a typical payback of 12 to 18 months against the equivalent air conditioning, driven mostly by the electricity saving. Yours depends on your tariff, your run hours and how the space was cooled before — treat that range as catalogue guidance and use the calculator with your own figures for a closer estimate.
What does a system cost?
Price depends on the model, the number of units and whether the job includes ducting and installation, so we quote it rather than publish a list. For a single unit we can give an indication quickly; for a project we survey first and send a written quotation, usually within one working day. Request a free quote.
Will you give me a price on the phone or WhatsApp?
For a straightforward single unit, yes, we can indicate quickly. For a multi-unit or ducted project an honest price needs the area, the height and ideally a survey — a number guessed over the phone helps no one. Message us with your details and we will tell you what we can confirm straight away.
Ordering, delivery and dealerships
Where are you based and do you deliver across India?
We manufacture in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, and supply across India. Installation and site visits are most immediate in and around Jodhpur and Rajasthan; equipment supply reaches the whole country. See the service areas page.
How long does delivery and installation take?
It depends on the configuration and whether ducting is involved. Once a quotation is accepted we confirm a realistic timeline in writing — we would rather commit to a date we can keep than quote a headline figure. Site visits in and around Jodhpur are usually within 48 hours.
Can I become a dealer or channel partner?
Yes — we are appointing dealers district by district with protected territory, manufacturer-direct trade pricing, training and technical back-up. See the dealership programme.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. Warranty terms depend on the model and are confirmed in writing with your quotation and invoice. Because we service what we sell and stock the spares, support does not end when the warranty does.

Still weighing it up?
Send your floor area and city and we will size it, quote it in writing and answer every question before you commit. No obligation.
