Dr. Duct India — industrial and commercial air cooling

Applications

Industrial air cooling, by the space you need to cool

The same evaporative cooling that suits a 40,000 sq.ft factory suits a full banquet hall, a poultry shed and a school assembly — for the same three reasons: fresh air, air movement over a large floor, and running cost that does not climb every summer. Find your sector below.

  • Free site survey & heat-load study
  • Up to 88% lower running cost than AC
  • Installation by our own team
  • Serving all of India from Jodhpur

Why the same machine fits so many trades

Three things every one of these spaces has in common

01

The heat is not all indoors

A factory roof, a hall full of people and a bank of machines are all heat sources an air conditioner has to fight. Evaporative cooling does something different: it changes the air many times an hour and carries the heat outside instead of chilling it in place.

02

Fresh air, not recycled air

Every sector below shares one requirement — people, animals or a process that needs a constant supply of outside air. Air conditioning recirculates the same air; evaporative cooling brings in 100% fresh air on every pass, which is why it suits crowded and working spaces.

03

Running cost that survives the summer

The reason the same machine turns up in a temple, a poultry shed and a welding bay is money. A large floor cooled evaporatively runs at a fraction of the electricity an equivalent tonnage of air conditioning would draw — the difference the calculator makes visible.

Eight sectors

Sectors with a dedicated page go into real detail on the cooling challenge and how we solve it. The rest route straight to a quote — tell us the floor and we will size it.

Commercial Spaces

Cool, moving air over a large floor without a wall of split units and without an electricity bill that grows every summer.

  • Showrooms
  • Retail stores
  • Malls
  • Banks
  • Offices
  • Salons

Industrial Setups

Process heat, machine heat and roof heat all at once. High air changes push hot air out instead of trying to chill it in place.

  • Production floors
  • Textile mills
  • Foundries
  • Workshops
  • Packaging units
  • Assembly lines

Educational Institutes

100% fresh air, which matters in a full classroom. No recirculation of the same air through forty children.

  • Classrooms
  • Hostels
  • Libraries
  • Auditoriums
  • Exam halls
  • Labs

Healthcare Facilities

Continuous fresh-air changes in waiting areas and corridors, where crowding and stale air are the real complaint.

  • Waiting areas
  • OPD corridors
  • Clinics
  • Diagnostic centres
  • Pharmacies
  • Dispensaries

Hospitality & Food

Kitchen heat is the hardest cooling job in India. Evaporative cooling handles it because it exhausts heat rather than recirculating it.

  • Commercial kitchens
  • Restaurants
  • Banquet halls
  • Marriage gardens
  • Hotels
  • Cafés

See hospitality cooling

Government & Defence

Large halls and depots on a fixed budget, with low running cost and parts that any local electrician can service.

  • Offices
  • Depots
  • Workshops
  • Canteens
  • Barracks
  • Public halls

Religious & Community

Very high occupancy for short bursts. Air cooling copes with a full hall far more cheaply than tonnage sized for a peak crowd.

  • Temples
  • Gurudwaras
  • Mosques
  • Community halls
  • Dharamshalas
  • Langar halls

Agro & Allied Industries

Livestock and produce need air movement and humidity, not dry refrigerated air. This is evaporative cooling’s home ground.

  • Poultry sheds
  • Dairies
  • Greenhouses
  • Packing sheds
  • Grain storage
  • Cold-chain docks

Not sure it fits your case?

The honest test

If your space is large, has people or a process in it, and can let air out through a door, louvre or vent, evaporative cooling almost certainly fits. If it must be sealed and dehumidified, it does not — and we would rather tell you that now.

Common questions

Applications, answered

Which industries is evaporative air cooling actually suitable for?

Any space that is large, occupied or working, and has a way to let air out — factories, warehouses, showrooms, schools, banquet halls, poultry sheds, temples, workshops and depots all qualify. The common thread is fresh air and air movement over a big floor. Where it does not fit is a small sealed room that needs dehumidified, tightly controlled air, such as a server room or a cold store: that is an air conditioning job and we will say so.

My building has heavy machine heat. Will cooling cope?

This is exactly what high air-change cooling is for. On a production floor the problem is not just the outside temperature — it is the heat the machines and the roof pour in all day. Trying to chill that in a sealed room is expensive and slow. Pushing 20 to 30 air changes an hour of cooled fresh air through the space carries the heat straight back out, which is why factories are one of our largest application areas. See factory cooling.

Do you cool spaces that are only busy occasionally, like a banquet hall?

Yes, and they are a good fit. A marriage garden or community hall fills to capacity for a few hours and sits empty the rest of the week. Sizing air conditioning for that peak is very expensive to buy and to run. Evaporative cooling handles the full crowd at a fraction of the running cost, and the plant can sit outside so guests never hear it — see banquet hall cooling.

Is it hygienic for hospitals, kitchens and animal sheds?

The single most important thing is fresh air, and evaporative cooling delivers 100% fresh air rather than recirculating it. Pads and water do need routine maintenance to stay clean, which we cover at handover and in a service visit — neglected pads are the source of most complaints about smell. For livestock and produce the added humidity and air movement are a benefit, not a drawback, which is why agro and dairy sheds rely on it.

Can one system cover a building with very different areas?

Usually yes, by zoning. A factory with an open shop floor, a packing area and a partitioned office does not want one solution everywhere: the floor takes wall or roof-mounted Air-X units, while the offices and packing area take ducted Blow-X delivery so the plant stays outside. We design the zones at the survey rather than forcing one approach across the whole building.
